What does it mean if he stares at a distance and doesn't look away?

So there's this guy thats in my two classes at university. he's cute and i have a tiny crush on him. He sits far from me, stares at me and doesn't look away.

Sometimes he stares at me for a couple of seconds and doesn't blink or anything. He stares as if he's frozen in place or trying to figure me out in a way. Im usually the one to look away after we stare at each other from a distance.
Sometimes he stares at me for a split second, looks away, looks back at me for a split second, and then looks away.
Sometimes he doesn't stare at all.
And sometimes he stares at a point near my face.
In the second class he's only stared at me once, every other time its like im nonexistent in the second class.

Once he came up to me and we had a 2 minute conversation about an exam, and the whole time he was staring in my eyes and not blinking.

What does all this mean?
