What does it mean when a guy stares at you from afar, sometimes holds eye contact when talking and looks away when you catch him looking?

I have a crush on this guy and I really don't know what he thinks of me. We talk almost everyday and I notice that he will look over at me when we see each other, he will look away when I look over at him, sometimes he will gaze into my eyes when talking and other times he doesn't look at me. What does this mean?

I'm pretty sure he likes you. I used to be like that too. He's just shy. Talk to him and make it obvious that you like him. That will make things much more easy for him.

I'm just as shy and there are times where I think he is hinting at hanging out, but I always blow it because I get so nervous. I just wish I could come out and say lets hangout or something.
