You interpret that as him missing you because you don't understand the psychology behind his behavior.

Note that a guy that is NOT emotionally unavailable will probably miss you when you aren't around, and spend time with you when you are. However, it is good to be naturally absent due to having a life that does not revolve around him.

Most people (especially in new relationships) make the mistake of spending too much time together. This is partly due to the addictiveness of the bonding chemicals and the dopamine, amongst other things.

Lol well, in my situation this guy lived with me for the past month. And I treated him like a king. Home cooked meals, foot rubs, and we would cuddle. (sounds lame I know) lol but I caught him in a stupid lie so I kicked him out the other day. And haven't said much since. I'm not gonna chase him. He had it great with me. And I just want him to regret it. That's really it lol

huh.. i have an ex that paid my rent (not because i couldnt but because she wanted to) also did my grocery shopping and a number of other things.. i miss the shit she did for me but im glad her ass is gone and wouldn't change that decision for anything

At first it makes me miss her, but after a short while, or if I feel like she is purposely ignoring me, I get mad and resentful and it irreparably damages the relationship and eventually leads to it ending. Emotional games like that in a relationship are a sure fire way to cause an end to your relationship, even if that end isn't immediate.

If I'm single then it only happens up to a certain point. If she's too distant then I either think she's not interested or eventually my efforts will decrease and I begin to forget about her.
