I'd say that depends on the guy and his self worth.
A guy that knows his worth is not reliant on a woman for it. So a guy that has self worth will ONLY cling to a woman that is WORTH clinging to. It doesn't matter if he's been single for 20 years.
He does and once he can get one better he leave her, that's such a common pattern.
Guys who have trouble getting a woman to pay attention to them will often cling to the nicest woman possible thinking she will be different than the others.
