Why does my boyfriend brag about other girls flirting with him?

It's not the first time but my boyfriend comes home from a night out and he brags about how many girls were flirting with him but apparently I shouldn't have to worry because he just told them they were pretty but nothing more than that. Why does he say that to me?

Probably low self esteem, it most likely makes him feel like he's attractive, ik when customers at work ask for my number or flirt it definitely boosts my confidence, but i love my boyfriend and i would never be unfaithful to him

He's probably trying to make you jealous or make himself look attractive or popular. It probably makes him feel good about himself telling all that to you.
