Do guys sends text with xoxo? If so, with whom do they normally use it with?

I'm just curious, as it's the first time that I received a text from a guy that says xoxo.. so would just want to know what he means?

Cause I find it quite random since I have never see him sends this before.. and that He just suddenly sends me that, after half an hour from his previous text to me to thank me for something that he asked me about..

Yes i will use xoxoxo in text message with a girl , always know that it means hug n kisses. I don't use them with any random girl just with
a girl who i been texting and or known for some time.

I use the kissing emoji instead of xoxo, and I tend to use it with a girl that I like, or a girl friend I'm quite close to.
