A vague answer?

What do you do when you ask a tremendously shy guy out and he gives you a vague answer? He knows you're interested (well at least you think so), and he's also shown signs of affection.

I would advice the same thing that I would do with a girl that gives me a vague answer. Call her/him up and say something along the lines of you are planning your day out for that week and you didn't really understand what she/he said. And you are asking because you don't want to be rude that you asked her/him and now suddenly you are out with somebody else. And of course she/he's the priority for your night out or free time or whatnot.

It does not hurt to ask! Specially if the person seems to like you.

A conversation would go along of:

Me: Hey remember we were talking about going out?

At this point I expect a positive reply. If she makes an excuse she doesn't remember or whatnot or makes an excuse. , I just bail out and say something like "hmmm must have been someone else hehe. sorry. how are you doing anyways. "

I know at this point it sounds like an excuse to chat but what the heck!

IF SHE/HE REMEMBERS:

Me: Some mates of mine wanted to go out but I am trying not to go out too much so since I asked you first before them I just wanted to know if you are still interested because last time I got a vague answer from you and now I don't know if you said yes or no hehe! But I want to put you first priority of course, otherwise I wouldn't have asked you in the first place you know.

And I just take it from there.

A girl have used this on me before and I've used it a couple of times too. I've even used it to ask a girl out pretending I thought I asked her out already.

Here's what to do: Talk to him and tell him you've arranged the whole date. You'll pick him up, you've picked out where to eat and what to do. If he says no to that, there is nothing you can do. If he says maybe/yes show up that night at his doorstep.

That's like 30 seconds on the phone, it looks longer when written. This way shows plausible deniability specially if it's a girl asking a guy out.

As a guy, I would take your advice however if I know the girl really digs me. If I am not sure then I will do it this way.

Also showing up at someone's doorsteps if they don't really like you makes you sound creepy and super needy.

He has a busy work schedule due to an internship and I was teasing him about how he has no time to hang out. his answered that he wasn't always busy. the thing is, I'm leaving for europe for my internship for the summer next week....! well, he came out to my little party last weekend, so he obviously can help set the date!
