I often catch my best male friend looking at my butt and boobs. He looks away quickly when I notice. Is this typical guy stuff?

There is no such thing as a single, hetero guy who is "just friends" with an attractive girl. Guys aren't designed that way - we don't have a "just want to be friends" classification for girls. We put girls in 3 categories when it comes to personal relationships:

- Girls I have feelings for and want a relationship with.
- Girls I don't have feelings for but find physically attractive and thus want to bang.
- Girls I don't find physically attractive and thus want nothing to do with.

Does anyone see "just want to be friends with" on that list? Nope. It isn't there. Do not be fooled.

A guy who is gay, asexual, or happily in a committed relationship can (sometimes) be "just friends" with a girl, but a single straight guy? You've got better odds of winning the Lotto.

Of course this is typical guy stuff. That is because all of those male "friends" of yours , if both of you were single, would have sex with you if you offered. That is why men and women are not "best friends'. yes you can be friendly, but "Friends" don't want to fuck each other. No, it doesn't matter if you don't think of them that way. Guaranteed, every one of them jacked off while thinking about you being naked at least once.

I was wearing a V-neck shirt one day with a big necklace. My guy friend said "I wish you wouldn't wear that necklace with a V-neck shirt. It makes me want to stare at your boobs and its distracting." And he also commented on the big rhinestones I had on the back pockets of my jeans which means he was looking at my butt. So I say yeah, they do check out female friends.

According to my boyfriend, yeah he does, but not constantly. More like, acknowledging. I personally think it's normal.
But at times it can turn into a rather uncomfortable situation... like when my friend overheard that her bestfriend jerked off while imagining her. That's quite awkward.

Yes, we're visual. I catch myself looking even when I don't want to necessarily (not interested in the person) or it's really inappropriate. It's automatic sometimes and I don't even realize until after that I've done it. lol. You friend, it could be just that, or maybe he likes you more than just friendship? Only he could say for sure.

The thing is that psychologically, guys have a hard time trying not to "check out" a girl... It's generally normal... but you do have to be on a lookout for any potential jerk coming your way. Having said that, I believe that it is "okay" up to some extent... but if it's in excess then, that is where it would become weird. And it is also possible that he isn't exactly looking out there. So overall, I think it is kind of normal, but not if it's in excess.

Yes. Men have varying levels of testosterone during the day/week. Testosterone causes sex seeking behaviour and as such the male body involuntary responds to sexually attractive features. Pupils widen, heart rate increases, and men will focus on those features more.

Yep. Always. It's a biological thing, for men. We're always looking for suitable mates, in order to continue the human species. Even friends are evaluated/considered. Generally speaking, men simply look for different qualifying and disqualifying traits than women do.

This will always happen. Even if he is not interested or attracted to you. I think most men are programmed to hyper-focus on women's body parts. Which is where the controversy of objectification comes from. I wish sometimes we didn't notice these things- but it's like a biological scanner that has a mind of its own.
