I have a crush on this guy and he we were discussing past relationships and I mentioned how my ex had his own car and his own place.

So my crush replied back oh your making me feel bad- I dont even have my own place and starts stroking his hair while saying it

Why would he compare himself especially since we are not even dating

OK, he likes you.. That is all. He said that because he it comfortable enough with you to be able to tell you the truth. How many relationships have failed because
1-lack of communication.
2-lying
3-disrespect
4-arrogance
What he did in that one little sentence is show you the opposite of all four of those negatives that are what break a relationship. I wouldn't worry about it.. Maybe give him some
Empathy
Respect
Love
Compassion.
Maybe ask your self why you're worried he is worried.
If you're worried he is worried then you care. However, he is worried because he also cares.. The only difference is that he said something, and you didn't.

So if you really like him, ask yourself why you didn't say anything about your worry and he did about his.
