Boy I was talking to ignored me after having sex a few times why?

I met this boy from a neighboring school and me and him talked every single day. He talked to me every day all day and all night for at a little longer than 2.5 months. He told me all these things and asked me about his day and so many person questions. He always answered me quickly and he was nice and seemed like he might have Liked me. I was a virgin and was planning on saving it. Me and him had "hooked up" once before and even after that he still continued to talk to me. One night after we had hooked up a week before. I had sex with him and he took my virgnity. He seemed nice still after and texted me before I got home that night. He layed and talked with me after and I was gettting comfortable with him. We had sex 5 times after that (all within a week) and he acted exactly the same each time. side note he told me he had sex with 9 girls before me. After the 5th time we had sex things seemed a little weird. He didn't talk to me as much as gradually stopped talking to me like he used to and within 4 days after we had sex he completely ignored me and hasn't talked to me since. Why would this happen? Did I possibly do something wrong? I don't think I really liked this guy but it still hurts that he was my first and he just randomly ignored me? Any advice on how to move on and why he might have done this?

Also as an update to give more details. This guy I slept with was younger and a lot less attractive then me. I hate to sound conceited but he isn't exactly a looker. I get many guys and am in good Shape and was also a virgin. I know I'm not perfect , but I forsure thought I would be the one to break things off and he'd feel like this not me

When you do not stay true to yourself, you are more likely to have regrets, unless I'm missing something.

Also, you send a message when you casually hook up with a guy. Your behavior betrays your own words and are full of contradictions.

As to why he might have done this, it sounds like a case of him just wanting sex, or increasing his body count and then moving on.

It was just a relationship that worked out for short time.
Its good that u are not that attached emotionally, or girls just go crazy about the guy who took their virginity.
The next time he approaches dont have sex with him, coz he will do the same again.
Dont interact or react to any of his actions or approach.

Sooner or later u might feel u wanna be wid smeone, so the Best Way to move on is to Be with another guy.
So try approaching guys u like.
Move On by being With another guy.
