Why would a guy copy a girls actions?

What makes a guy copy a girls behavior/ actions? Is it conscious or unconscious or something in between?

I've realised its happening a lot but didn’t think of it much before but now because he’s copied hand gestures, what I do and even how I write it makes me wonder.

What you are describing is typically called "mirroring". This can be consciously done or unconsciously done. Either way it is a way that mimicks the other person's actions/behaviors. It is a socialization technique that can show that the person is connecting wit's you, whether that's emotionally or mentally or other is based on the situation.

Mirroring is a sign that person feels comfortable and likes the person, they unconsciously copy their body language.

Or he's an alien lizard-man trying to fit in with the humans by copying their behaviors while studying them for the incoming invasion.

It's not on purpose. Best example is this: i'm the only person i know to overuse the "fair enough" phrase. Funny thing, most of my foreign friends are using it more often than me after 6 months of hanging out. It's very normal

UK people use it really often, I was really curious to understand what it really means because sometimes it sounds like "ok, we can stop talking" like if someone isn't interested anymore and my friends from UK confirmed me that the meaning can be like that but it depends on the situation and it is more easy to guess in person...
Anyway I agree maybe it's not on purpose, it is influence 🗨

It's because he is used to you and probably doesn't realize he is doing it it's a learned habit just means he likes you and he picked up your signals

Humans tend to mimic people we like partially if he copies you exactly and/or instantly then it probably is a conscious act. He would do it to make you Moore amiable towards him
