So my crush called me boo once. But today when I called him bae in front of his friends, he looked at me while I was crazy. Now I'm friendzoned?

I was sitting with my guy friend, -who is going to be called Michael during this- Michael and his small group of friends at lunch today, and I called him bae when he was cleaning up after a card game, (he missed some and one fell on the floor so I picked it up, calling him bae like, two times) and he looked at me like I was crazy, saying "who you calling bae?" And I didn't pay much mind to it at first. Well, until I decided to text him on Snapchat saying I was bored in class.
And his reply is along the lines of, "I want you and me to be friends cause I don't wanna lose you if we go out and then it's gonna be awkward, and I don't want that." And he sends an I'm sorry text afterward and I'm like it's cool and whatever, don't worry about it.

And ever since today I haven't decided to text him back, nor did he text me back further about the situation. I'm kind of upset about it because he called me boo before, and that was when he was deciding to eat with me and whatever. But now I call him bae and suddenly I'm feeling a little crushed because I really thought we had a chance.
He walked me to class, waited outside for me after class and even flirted with me for the past two weeks, so I figured maybe he liked me a little bit and acted like I was his girlfriend.

I have class with him tomorrow and no doubt I'm going to see him at lunch anyways... So what the heck do y'all think about this situation? I still like him, but if he wants to hang out with me again he's gonna have to work on getting my trust first. Any solutions, tips or anythimg on this?

Guess he was just joking around, he didn't like being called bae cause he didn't want his friends to think you guys were together. It seems he's not interested enough to go further and just want to stay friends or he just likes to flirt around and not be serious. Just don't bother with him anymore and go for a guy who's really interested in you.

The first thing was because he was around his friends, and he has to play it cool, and act uninterested. The "just friends" thing might be one of 2 things. One, he isn't interested romantically. Two, he might be interested, but is afraid to move forward. Hard to say with a young guy like that. I've been in both situations before with girls.

The thing is though, that it's only me, him, two other guys and one's got a girlfriend. What would he need to play it cool about? It's not like he has a rep to hold, he's beencoming to my college for two weeks now, if that helps anything so...

Ohh ok lol. I misread an earlier comment. When you say he's been coning to your college for 2 weeks... Does he attend class there (transferred) or does he just hang out there? Is it to see you? If he's more open to the other girl, and has never had a girlfriend before, then it is possible that's he's just nervous or afraid to go that extra step with you. Or he doesn't want a relationship, but if he's shy or not shallow, then he might like you, just doesn't know how to handle it.

Yeah, he attends classes with me. One that we both share in the afternoon on certain days, sadly... and trust me, nothing about this guy is shy lol. I can't tell you enough how many times he's poked and tickled my sides and all that other stuff lol.

Hmm. Hard to tell, it's so much more common that guys are friendzoned, because guys almost always want something more. However, that's not always the case. I guess just see where it all goes. There is still the possibility he doesn't want to risk losing you if the relationship went south. I did that once with a girl (despite us both liking each other) I regretted it because that ironically hurt our relationship as friends in the end. Sorry I can't help more. This is a puzzle lol
