Do guys like being serenaded?

i wrote a song for my current boyfriend and, plan to sing it to him. I've already sung it to a few close friends and they say its really good. I put a lot of work into it and even practiced on guitar. Do you think it's a good idea to sing it him? Do guys even like that? How would you feel? is it too cheesy to do something like that?

I think it totally depends on the type of person.

For example, when things were going a bit rough with my girl, I wrote her a song about how we met and I kept it light hearted and sweet.

When I told some of my girl mates I was gonna do it they were like "No way! Do NOT do that, you'll look like an absolute idiot" (because they would have thought that if someone did it to them) but I did do it to my girl and she thought it was lovely. She even wrote me one back. We used to write songs together anyway.

So I guess, just think what do you think your boyfriend would do? I personally would find it very cute.
