Guys, why do you go hot and cold?

One moment you're texting her all the time, every day, saying cute things, then the next you're not responding to any texts, or responding every couple hours with unresponsive replies. Why do you do that?

Well for me it's this;

I own an auto mechanic company which I started at the age of fourteen with buying, repairing and selling motorbikes. Now it has grown to a auto mechanic company with three hired people. Besides that I'm an auto mechanic student.

I get up at 6 am and got to get 7 am out my bed to go to school. I get back mostly about at 5 pm and I'll start doing my homework leftovers first. After that I have to cook and I do still live with my parents. After that I'll continue with studying for 2 hours, because that is my limit. After that I go to my work and do nightshifts. Whenever I'm free I am basically at work. I still have a partner despite all of this.

I'm incredibly busy 24/7 and only have little time to respond now and then. Of course I take good care for myself and take breaks as well, so you don't have to point that out.

At times I respond with just a few words, because I need to do something else. Like I said I am just constantly busy running things.

This case is probably an extreme though.

It's not a matter of guys or girl, but rather a matter of individual behavior.

Clearly you had some interest in a boy that did this to you. Maybe you feel he lost interest and now you're not too happy about it because you can't figure out why.

Best way to know is to be straightforward and ask him. Be honest. Like:

"hey I noticed we were exchanging messages and it was all cute, and now I feel like you're trying to distance yourself. Did I do something or I am just imagining things? Please just be honest and tell me."

Seems like he lost interest, and this might have nothing to do with you, so don't take it too personally.

(1) Because I'm talking to multiple women and one has priority over the others
(2) Because I feel she isn't pulling her end - i. e. not showing me the interest I'm showing her - so I lose interest and start talking to her sporadically

My guess is because their level of investment is lower than the others' and the one with more investment will give the other person that attention which they don't have to try hard to get. Someone who's non-needy will have a better time finding someone who will share the level of investment with their partner.

I have a battery of social interactions and if I have multiple meetings at work in one day it is at zero by the end of the day. When I go home I like to shut my phone down and sit in silence. If it is a lighter day I can still hang out with people. I am introverted so that is my case. Extroverted people may be differint.

Depends on the individuals in question. Some people just don't go together and their interests are so... different compared to one another that they dont even mesh on a social level. It makes losing interest that much either. I wouldn't say it's that fast though. But if you are talking all the time for about 2 weeks, I could see the interest fade quicker that way.
You just have to try to be unique or spontaneous. Talk about out of this world things. Think outside of the box. See each other sometime (if possible), etc. Have to keep things fresh.
