What does it mean when a guy stares but doesn't smile?

There is this guy in my community college that I notice staring at me whenever I'm near, but when I catch his eye, he doesn't smile, just stares very intently. My friends have noticed him doing that to me.

I've never met the guy and don't even know his name.

Does he think I am disgusting or something?

He's probably shy and maybe even likes you! I used to not smile at the person I liked when she looked at me because well... that was my reaction! Now I smile to the girls I like.

Next time you both look at each other, ask him a simple question about the class. Look at the way he talks to you and look for signs.

He likes you, but he thinks that you are too good for him/he is out of your league and does not want to even bother to make a move because he is THAT sure that you are already taken or will reject him.

If you are interested in him then you could try too things signaling him or trying to confront him.

The next time you catch him staring at you smile at him or try sitting next to him in class.

This method does have several problems as he may not think that the smile is directed at him or some other guy sitting near him might think that you are signaling him.

Maybe he is a creeper, maybe he likes you or maybe he thinks you are weird, or maybe you remind him of someone take your pick only he knows ask him...he knows...he might tell you

Could mean anything, likes, hates, angry, curious, interest, flirting etc
