Why do men get uncomfortable when womem burp, fart or talk about their periods?

I don't think it's true that all or even most men get uncomfortable with these things unless they go beyond the boundaries of decency and civility. We all know that human beings do human things but they are not necessarily spectator sports or social events. I have an issue with people who treat farting like it's a crowd pleaser, it really isn't. If you fart, no big deal. If you deliberately force farts out in company and you constantly want to talk about farting, and you burp like a bloated seal then excuse me for finding you disgusting. The same would apply to men, not just women.

I only do when they talk about periods cause I'm usually the only guy at the table and it is while I'm eating that they talk about it. TMI save it for desert please. As for the rest I joke with them about it making the other uncomfortable.

We know they do it but we don't want to hear it. If she quietly burps after a meal then OK but not like loud and strident for a laugh. We feel you should be ladylike. If you guys have a really bad period and need to be treated extra delicate, given chocolate, comfort, or emergency trip to get more pads then fine. But don't just come out talking about it like "Hey y'all, I am having my period today! Have you had yours yet?"

It's not something I have ever come across. I think most guys are generally more then happy either witnessing it talking about those things.
