Is it true that a shy guy running away from you is a sign he likes you?

i have this shy guy in my English class and he's looked at me a lot before but the other week I tried leaving class behind him to talk with him because I like him and he freaking ran away from me! like he walked fast and kept turning back to look at me...?

i talked to a few guys about this because he made me feel bad like and the look on his face he was like scared or something..tense I don't know but he made me feel really bad : (

what could this mean?

Either one of two things he really likes you and his emotions terrified him and he didn't know what to say in that very moment so he ran away from you
Or it could mean hmm I think she likes me, but I don't know how to say I just want to be friends. But its likely he likes you if he keeps running so next time you see him just keep giving him lovely warm welcoming smiles and eventually he will either smile back or get angry and walk away which my crush he walked away 2014 ahem most embarrassing moment of my life (coughs)

I have a guy doing this to me also...so it happens at any age. I think it is shyness, but sometimes also fear due to a prior bad relationship and sometimes also lack of experience.

lol that happened to me ,it was the girl who ran away,if girls do that you can call it shyness akwardness but if a guy does its really very timind
