In all those cases its an excuse, there are few cases in which its real. Its when you can put in danger your loved one. But its used more when you are in fact into a relationship
I haven't, but I was rejected once with this being the reason. I still don't know if I believe it, but I try to treat others like I would like to be treated; therefore, I take the statement at face-value.
Not really so much because she was too good, but because I'm not into high maintenance girls, and too often, hot girls are high maintenance, and not worth the trouble. of course, there are exceptions.

That is a great point! I’m glad you’re aware not all women are the same worth. Some may look nice and beautiful but in the end is their personality and intellect that determines how much she can offer in a relationship. 😊👍🏼
thats excuse but ffs why should you date someone who is not attracted to you? What is point there then lol. I will date women who i find cute&hot and not ugly, you are not sexy to everyone but to someone you are, there is no thing "ugly person"
Yeah, a lot of guys have low self-esteem and don't think they "deserve" a relationship with a beautiful, good woman, as if one can deserve such a thing. They think eventually the girl will figure out that she can do better, so why try?
If I feel I can't offer or give someone what I feel they deserve, yes I would reject them because I think they're too good for me. I know in a way it makes no sense but that's how I feel sometimes.
In my opinion no one will reject something that he / she wants. Rejecting someone by telling him / here that they are to good for you it means exactlly the oposit.
Telling such words is always comes to "thanks but no" in a peaceful manner. The other side of rejection is complete silence from the other is a way to tell "I don't want to talk to you anymore". Third one is the harsh way but thats too hostile.

I kind of have. A girl in high school asked me whether I wanted to go to a party and I thought she was way above my league so it must be some kind of joke.
Lmao I wish girls came up to me and asked me out at all. I would never reject a beautiful girl, but I'd probably get a little insecure being around her haha.

Are you shy? Are you serious most of the time? Are you enclosed to yourself? If so, those might be reasons why some girls don’t ask you out! You seem to hide your insecurities by being funny. Anyway, that’s me trying to decipher why a handsome guy like you would say such a thing. Thanks for your opinion though! 😊👍🏼
No that's absurd, No guy will say things like that unless he is bored with you and wants another , if you are too good then he should definitely keep u not talk like that,
Oh please, some guys aren't selfish ego centered masculine fighters. I have done this once because of bad self esteem. Also done it about taking someones virginity, but i felt they weren't ready

It goes the opposite way - I got rejected and friendzoned. "Would you like us to be sister and brother?" - Ermm no thanks lady.

Yeah I HAVE DONE THAT!! And i think it's a part of self awareness, knowing that you deserve her or not... Everybody should know one's self...
And, this is just my opinion... tbh, this excuse is mostly used for a PAINLESS rejection...
Either lying or have bad self esteem and no confidence

I can't say I've done this.

All of the above lmao
Appreciate the compliment though ☺
No problem! 😊
Yes, I regret it but I feel like it works out in the end because I don't want then living with the regret

Thats excuse for some i dont know about you
Its true some guys probably lie about it, but there are decent honest guys out there.
No lol People who do that are either:
A.) Lying to protect feelings
or
B.) Way to insecure.
LMAO I'm sure that's the reason. media3.giphy.com/media/11a8FLrVeoLnna/giphy.gif
Nope. Normally they aren't good enough. Well... lately there are exceptions.
That's letting the girl down easy. It's better to be truthful and break up saying its ME that's too good for YOU
