Why do married men never mention their wives to other females and only speak openly about the kids?

I don't have kids but i talk about my wife a lot. Maybe the kids take the center of all their focus!

Everything is possible here, I've met men who have beautiful wives but they didn't want to have kids but the wife had 3 or so, that's where everything goes to million small pieces and there no more fun in the golden cage. One if my best friends she is gorgeous looking young lady in her early 30's and her man left her because she wanted kids and they have 2 cute daughters now so cute and lovely but the guy never wanted kids, so that's a possibility. The kids can take a lot of energy for parents (from what i've seen) for example my brother just became a father and for these last 2 months, all i get from him is a text, can't see him, can't talk to him, he is all worked up with the new born and when we meet this one time every 10 days all what he talks about is his little kid.

This married man happens to have a beautiful wife but still flirts with me at work. Hardly ever talks about his wife but always does about his kids. Why?

It is probably because men like the other females, the ones they are flirting with, to know about their fertility potential, yet delivering the message that they aren't much interested in their wives anymore.
