She keeps saying the word FRIEND!!

So this girl told me she's very interested in me. But she has feelings for another guy. So she said she needed time to get her feelings straight. After a few days, I wanted to keep my pride, so I told her it would be easier to just be friends even though I wanted more. However, she keeps mentioning the word friend in our conversations. Like when we hung out after we talked, she called me friend like 8 times, and now again on the phone! What does that mean?

well... she was right to get her feelings together but it sounds like she ether is trying to get you to realize that she picked the other guy over you without trying to tell you or... she values you a lot and is using friend as a more in a relationship kinda word but doesn't want to use a stronger word so instead she uses friend.

She's trying to save face so that she doesn't sound like a cold hearted bitch for not wanting to be with you. When chicks act like that and drop the friend bomb, it's for us, to make us feel better about ourselves for rejecting you. Basically she's too big of a coward to just straight up say she doesn't want you!

But she didn't say she doesn't want me. I'm the one that told her we should just be friends...and if she didn't want me, why would she say after that she saw herself losing her virginity to me?

She's just not interested. If she was interested in you, she'd be with you right now. If a girl really likes a guy, then she makes sure he knows it. Anything else is just a way of saying she's not interested.

She can't believe you just want to be friends with her. It means she likes you alot. I made the same mistake about 3 months ago. I told this girls we should just be friends. Even though I liked her alot. So she kept repeating the word "friend" to me. Until her brother told me the truth about her liking me.
