+1 yYes and I expect it. If I can run a sucessful career he can know how to run a successful kitchen. I'm looking for a grown man who can feed himself, can appreciate the time and effort that goes into cooking, and not come home day after day late from work or the same time as me and lay on the couch expecting a hot dinner and then have the audacity to complain if it's not to his taste. I don't expect him to cook every night, but I expect that we are able to share the responsibility equally and also agree on what nights we can eat out. I'm not a fan of a guy who "chooses to eat out" everytime it's his night to cook. Really between two people you only need to cook 2x a week each (for dinners) if both people do their share.

Absolutely! My boyfriend cooks for me all the time! Love it. In the past I was the one that cooked all the time, and felt like it was easy for the guy. I cook for him when he is at my house. But most of the time we are at his, and we cook together. It is a great bonding experience too.

I agree ☺️
Think of it this way:
Me: "Honey, what do you wanna eat?"
Her: "idk whatever"
Me: *brings large bowl of signature real home made mac n cheese made from scratch*
Her: "OH MY GOD THANK YOUUUU!" *hugs n kisses ensue followed by delicious mac n cheese binging*
I learned this a while ago... when a girl says she doesn't know what she wants to eat, she's not being difficult. She REALLY doesn't know... or probably care. She's hungry.
So, if you put food in front of her face, she'll always eat. However, if it is food YOU made yourself, and you KNOW what she likes...
.. ladies, I'll be in the kitchen. Hmu anytime.10 Reply
Yes, I've learned how to cook from my mum when I was young. I thought women were supposed to cook and do all the homework while men go to work and come to sleep, but when I grew up, I realized that cooking is one of the essentials of life to survive.
I'm not a chef, and I'm not trying to attract attention, but cooking helps me to acclimate and survive under any circumstances.
Yes, there are women who love the man who cooks, but you have to do it for yourself first, then think about the rest (no offense, women).10 Reply

+1 yhi, well after 3 ltr in my lifetime i would seriously love it if any new man someday! could and would cook... i love cooking however this life skill in fact would be very much appreciated by me!! ; ) xx
20 Reply313 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Would a woman DISLIKE having a man with an extra life skill or two? If nothing else there's no reason for a girl to dislike a guy for being able to cook. At the worst she won't care but there's no reason a girl would dislike it... thus there's no where to go but up from not caring one way or the other...
So basically yeah most girls will probably find it attractive or they won't really care in the first place.10 ReplyTrust me. Women love a guy who knows their way around the kitchen. Sous vide, smoker, benzomatic propane torch, searzall, crock pot, rice cooker, etc. I got a lot of cooking gadgets. I been cooking 28 years. I am 30. I started at age 2 cracking eggs with my great grandma. Of course I was a lousy egg cracker so she had to pick out all the shells. Never had any complains on my cooking.
A man should know how to cook and fend for himself.00 Reply
+1 yAs someone's who worked in the restaurant industry as a line-cook in various restaurants, my experience has been yes. But I would say "impressed" rather than "liked" and being good at cooking can only get you so far. Regardless of whether women like it or not, if you're a man and you like to be independent, then you definitely need to know how to cook. Don't learn it just to attract women. Well, actually, everyone needs to know how to cook.
00 Reply518 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Yes, in the sense that it shows that he is an adult and not a baby looking to be mothered.
Is it ~*attractive*~? No. It's a necessary life skill. You need to be able to feed yourself in the most basic way.30 Reply
+1 yIt's not necessary but it's definitely a plus. Nothing like having a man fix you a good meal and have you leaving happy and with a full belly.

All women like a man with cooking prowess
No but we dislike it when a man is so incapable that he can't even feed himself.
Cooking is a basic life skill63 Reply- +1 y
I actually totally agree. There also has been a question recently from a girl about if men care if a woman can't cook. Well, they do. But in modern society more and more women tend to say it's not their duty to know how to cook because feminism, at the same time saying that man should cook her a dinner :D

Just be aware that you can't even try to split everything 50/50, because it's virtually impossible.
I even know a chef and whole cooking is done by his wife because he said that he doesn't want to leave his workplace and feel like he didn't, instead he's doing other things she doesn't do.

Yes, that means to me I am less likely having to treat you as a child then. For some reason nowadays guys want gfs to be their mothers it's ridiculous.

@GothAncap Well I don't mind cooking for a guy but if you expect me to be a maid, a cook and to live with you and we not even married it's not going to happen. Ik 100% you never ask me to marry you if you pull that shit.

Stop swimming in the shallow end of the talent pool. Get your butt in some deep water where the men are.
I definitely do. It’s a great skill to have and I cook too so we could do it together.
30 ReplyYes, absolutely. It means, if he’s a potential marriage candidate, that I won’t have to constantly play house every single night.
20 ReplyInteresting question. My ex wife refused to let me cook even for myself. She told me women must cook in Islam. I'm Jewish so it didn't make any sense to me. It was also bizarre as she knew me for 10 years previously as she was first my best friend. I didn't even have a say in what she made for me. It was done as a form of control

+1 yAs opposites attract a woman who can't cook definitely is attracted to a man who can. I can cook some very good meals. I can say if you come over I can cook that one that's your favorite it seems to work. if they really need convincing I have to cook my best dishes sometimes

+1 yYes. I think it is one thing that everyone should be able to do regardless of gender. It's a basic thing. There are many household tasks that are considered gender roles but they shouldn't be. Cooking, sewing, replacing the fuse, bookbinding etc.

I can't speak from personal experience as I'm no woman, just a bisexual guy... but I would love a guy who can cook. ^_^00 ReplyYes. I think both genders like it when the other can cook.
