It's not so much that they are perverted; they just are really lonely and looking to be loved and/or sexually satisfied by someone of the opposite gender. Men like to push their boundaries knowing that being online means it's really easy to avoid or ghost someone if anything went wrong. Like women, men crave attention as well and they all have a different way of showing it; even if many of them believe dick pictures and dirty talking will convince women otherwise to either get a reaction out of them or hoping she'll want to do more with them. It's very easy for a woman to find a man that meets her needs while it's the opposite for men finding a woman for this. This may be the reason why you'll see so many perverted men trying to get your attention. It's quite sad in my opinion because I believe the majority of them have good intentions but aren't publicly displaying it appropriately and/or aren't wise enough to understand that what they want isn't meant to be one-sided for their needs when they gross women out like that :(

Because online dating apps cater to people looking to hook up, there is no accountability. Same thing with pics, people can send them one on one and you can rarely trace them back to the sender in real life. It's all a game, either you want to play or don't.

The guys who actively use those tools to meet people are not looking for long term relationships. They are horny and are using the tools (and the people) to get off. Girls do this too although more girls than not want the emotional connection as well. These guys don't need the emotional connection, just wanna pop.

Unfortunately I think more girls are playing the hookup game and sacrificing long term relationships to satisfy their hormones and get off. Online sites and all these tools make it that much easier to play the game; I call it a game because if you never meet someone physically how can you ever love them or have sex? Anyway for those who want to play they get what they want. Those who want something else and want long term relationships should look to meet people in other ways.

It's not really pervy. That perception is wrong and that's why you are confused. Guys see sex as FAR less important than love, but do see it as important for happiness and as a necessity to a good relationship. So guys LEAD with sex, because it's not the important thing, because if the sex isn't a good fit, you don't want to pursue a relationship.

So yes, in healthy dating, looking for sex is what you'd expect if you sat down and really thought about how good relationship determinations would form. You don't want to save sex for later, because you don't want to get too into romance and love when you could have easily figured out earlier that you were not compatible.

So pervy is about the last thing that it is.

And guys might send dic pics, but girls send the equivalent all the time. So it's mutual.

In a system where you are meeting based solely on physical attractiveness, sex is already in teh open. Pretending it is not is just pretending. Why have small talk to pretend there is something else first?

I think it is a facade that makes people think that interactions are deeper than they really are. But in reality, most people, of both genders, LEAD with physical attraction (a code name for sex) in almost all interactions, especially those with strangers as there is nothing else on which to base the purpose of the interaction.
