Boyfriend accidentally says I love u?

I have been dating this guy for about a month. We spend a lot of nights together watching tv and just hanging out. Before he left for work this morning he kissed me and said love u see you later. Then he looks at me and says I said I love u didn’t I? I was so surprised I didn’t know what to say so I said see you later. Now I feel dumb? What if he actually meant it? Do u think he meant it or was it an accident?

We guys are emotionally stunted creatures. We warp our brains that we have to be verrry careful with the infamous L word. He lost concentration and let it slip!

It was an accident, but not for the reason you think. He's had the L word in his head about you for a while now, and in a moment of happiness before work he said it! Now he's desperately worried that he said the L word and you don't share it for him. He's probably worried sick at work that he's gonna come home and you're going to say "Oh, sorry. I don't like you like that."

My advice? If you love him too, wait. Wait for him to get home to you. Don't bring it up over text. See how he interacts with you next. If he tries to hide what he said or like it didn't happen, lightly bring it up. Things don't have to change if you both love each other. You can still date the same way, you can still kiss the same way. But now it's public that you both care a lot d for each other.

The question isn't simply, "Was it on accident". It's pretty clear it was an accident considering the conversation! It's about what he feels about you and what you feel about him. Don't get so caught up in the L word itself.

Just talk with him. Sit with him and tell him that you wanted to talk about the L word and what the L word means to you. Find out what he thinks when he thinks of love. If you both define love to each other and realize you're not there yet, that's ok! You might be there eventually.

He might have been super happy. He might have said it unconsciously. He might not feel as deep as the words actually mean. And that's ok. Because clearly he cares about you deep enough to say the L word. Who's to say in another three months you guys aren't in a committed, open about love relationship?

He cares about you enough to say the L word in the first place, that's a lot of emotion for only one month. This is a good thing, no matter the outcome.

I might be more scared of the L word than he is. I had an on and off again guy for a long time that really burned me when I trusted him

He meant it and felt it but didn't mean to say it which is soooo sweet tho.
I did the same thing with my current boyfriend when we were still early on in the relationship and then I had to say it was a typo 😂 but what's done was done so he just knew I love him

You're not stupid. U should never say it unless u are absolutely sure and comfortable in saying it.

I was in a psychological, verbal and physically marriage then went to a boyfriend who abused me verbally at times. Shaming me for having too much fat on my butt when I’m not even fat really just petite with a smaller hourglass figure. So yes I’m insecure. I constantly think I’m going to do something to make my boyfriend mad or that when he gets angry he might throw the stuff he’s mad at. Like when remodeling and it didn’t go right but instead of throwing the item he gently laid it down and took and ther one to cut.

That's why you shouldn't rush into saying. Take your time.
