Oh I feel for you. I got dumped today because my boyfriends chinese parents didn’t agree to us dating because i am a single mum and Eastern European. The guy didn’t even want to hang in there and slowly convince his parents that he will be happy with me. He just gave up.
I know how it feels when people seem to just take advantage of your niceness.
I think that you should stay the way you are. Try building a wall and don’t let those feelings out until you trust someone. Be it friends or relationships. Protect your feelings while of course still doing nice things for them. If you are a nice person by nature then i think you will only be forcing yourself to be someone you are not
