Is she too shy to talk to me??

I met this girl and we hung out three times. One time, she was really touchy (slept on my shoulder, lap, played with my hair, tickle) but one time she was more conservative because her friend was with her. I think she knows I like her (I didn't officially tell her yet), But I just texted her a few times to say hi. Girls, would you sometimes be too shy to text/call a guy? I don't wanna look too needy by initiating the conversation all the time. What do you think?

If you have a crush on a guy and if he doesn't call you for 2 weeks, would you at least try to call him? Or wait/hope he will call soon?

judging by the questions on this site, most girls still seem to expect the guy to do all the initiation.

and also judging by material on this site, if a guy a girl likes has been txting her, and then suddenly stops, chances are the girl will freak out (but still may not do anything about it :P)

finally - txting is not a good conversation medium - delivery isn't guaranteed and messages can appear out of order too easily. email is more reliable, using actual sound waves generated with your mouth and directed into the girls ears (or doing the sign-language equivalent) is the most effective ;)

try a different medium: phone call, email, face-to-face, whatever, and ask something that needs a reply.

Maybe she was just being more conservative because her friend was around. I know that happens a lot to me. I'm really shy around guys I like, especially if my friends are around. It depends on the girl and her personality-she could have just been flirting with you. I'm not really sure, because I don't know her. I love it when guys call or text me first, it makes me feel like I'm special/important to them, that they thought enough of me to find the time to talk to me.

I've initiated the text twice just to say hi but I haven't call/text her in 2 weeks cause I was hoping she would call back (I am testing her to see if she was interested in me).

I don't know, she could just not like initiating conversation, I don't -no matter how long I've known the guy. You may have better results if you call her instead of text.
