I’m protective over the people in my life. If I’m hanging out with at a club with a friend who’s a girl, I’m going to look out for her. If some dude starts creeping on her and isn’t taking the hint that she’s not interested, we’re going to have an issue.
My uncle is just like me in so many ways. My dad and mom met through them, but before my mom and dad even started dating, my uncle and mom were close friends. I still hear funny ass stories of him being in a club with my mom and guys being afraid to approach my mom because my uncle was all buffed out and would fuck up any guy who tried to disrespect my mom lol.
It had nothing to do with jealousy or competition. They were just good friends. He was just protective, and I’m definitely the same way. We know how other guys can be, and a lot of men don’t have the best of intentions with women.
Because they "wannabe" dating you, and maybe in their mind they've created this scenario where "you're really supposed to be with me even though we're not dating". He figures if he keeps other guys away, your attention will turn to him. Also, by "showing" you he's fighting for you, he thinks you'll be impressed and want him.
For a split second he realizes he could lose you to another guy. He dosnt like to know that you talk to other guys even if he dosnt want to be with you.
These are guys you just want to get rid of. Nothing will come of this so please dont take him doing this as a compliement, trust me
Haha.. its really a good question, even i am curious to know about it. Last year i came to know.. two guys fought with each other over me.. and i was not even knowing them.. lolz.. not that i am.. too pretty.. but its just weird..

1.) Afraid to lose her, even though there is a 2% chance of me dating her. Marry/Kids with her. And a house. Meeting her parents, Etc..

He is most likely mote in to you then he realizes or maybe doesn't want to tell un less you take that step.
It can also be that he has problems with losing you in that way.
He might be territorial, most likely because of the first one with feelings.
It can also be he see something in him that he isn't good enough for you.

I´ve been wondering the same. A guy friend I´ve also been flirting some with gets very displeased when I talk to other guys or other guys flirt with me. And that guy is in a relationship!
