Why do men suck up to pretty girls?

Men are always flocking to pretty girls, & trying to get their attention, while they pretend other women don't exist. Men also respond to women on this site who are pretty vastly more than other women. They are obviously obsessed with looks, & it's kind of sad. You can try to deny it, but I've seen the way men respond to pretty women on this site vs other women, & it's obvious men pay a lot of attention to women who are beautiful. I understand in person why a guy might do this, as he actually stands a chance, but why chase after a girl on line? There is no chance you are going to get her, so why send her friend request, messages, & post things on their wall? I mean, it's kind of sad... What do you have to say about this guys? And if your going to deny it, just don't bother answering. I don't buy into the cheap lies people tell to make themselves seem like better people, I want the actual truth, no bologna!

My problem with men... husbands, boyfriends, expect to have a naturally attractive mate at home, as they ogle and take in all and anything else that strikes their attention. It's immature sure, but how in the hell am I supposed to feel sexy, when I know for a fact that you (he was) staring up and down a 23 year old in running tights at the grocery store? Or that he was jerking off to 'nude russians' AKA barely legal big tittied skinny girls. Sorry, but I don't feel sexy knowing that. He wonders why I don't want sex with him anymore and it's because I can't orgasm anymore with him (don't feel sexy). Also, I'm plenty in shape, run, work out, about 5 lbs over what I was in my early 20's, but without surgery and a time machine, I can't compete with those young girls or surgically enhanced models. To be honest, I'm really not happy because of it. He has let himself go. Funny, men are so obsessed with the looks on women, some men even commenting that they would leave their wife and kids for just one night with so and so, but they tend to do nothing to maintain their looks as they get older.

Just thought of something else to rant... how about the significant others who fuss about how long you are taking to get ready, how it's annoying that you 'need to work out', monitor your food intake, comment that you are too superficial about your looks, but then ogle the celebrity titty picks in the daily tabloids. It's a little hypocritical don't you think? Men want natural breast, women that don't 'need' compliments/attention, don't spend much time on their looks, but then will jerk off and ogle a celeb posting a kabillion selfies, fake titties, fake bootie, etc. I'm sick of the 'it's natural to act this way' bullshit. Learn to appreciate what you have at home or get something different.

Ok I didn't read all that but basically that's not always true. Just cause girls are pretty doesn't mean they get their asses kissed all the time and if they do it doesn't make it right. Think about it would you really want guys kissing your ass all the time just causee your pretty and wondering if their genuine or just trying to sleep with you? I've had this problem ( not saying I'm drop dead goregous ) but I do get quite a few compliments on my looks but despite that I remain humble and value honesty and integrity which in turn turns off a lot of guys because they think your either stuck up or "boring". So being pretty and getting your ass kissed isn't always fun if your trying to find someone decent. Also most guys will caste out looks if they find you annoying...I've had guy friends go for "ugly chicks" because to them they were less of a hassle.

We're all shallow and obviously an attractive person, even online, is going to catch your attention more than a plain Jane or John. It's just a fact of life.

I do find it funny when dudes constantly message girls, even who don't have pictures up, asking for cybersex, sexting pics, etc. on this site. Thankfully I haven't received any since becoming a moderator.

And not that I'm a "pretty girl", but being attractive (it's debatable) has its drawbacks too. You never know who is actually genuine, and 99.9% of the time guys are only after you for sex because that's all they see you as, an object.

Well first off, the guys that suck up more to the pretty girls are almost always the guys that don't get any chicks whatsoever. See once you've dated one of those super hotties you realize looks isn't everything because after youve spent time with different girls you start to care more about how she makes you feel than JUST her looks. And that also opens up your eyes to seeing all girls as prettier in their own ways. I dated this girl who was very hot but I ended up liking her best friend a lot more than her because she was so much funner to be with and she was also cute in her own way.

So anyways, guys who are "good" with girls(that doesn't mean sleeping with a lot either) don't care so much about the superficial looks after theyve had some experience. See those shallow guys have never talked to ANY girls on a deep level, so they are fooled by her outer appearance very easily. Guys who've talked to lots of girls know that it takes a while to find out who your dealing with after a lot of deep conversations..

If we suck up to them, maybe they'll suck on us. Online, from what I've seen people value the opinion of an attractive person more than that of an unattractive person. If a cute girl is hit on by an ugly guy, she'll be offended. OFFENDED! Think about it. There is nothing intrinsically inferior about the ugly guy's attraction for her (even if his features are inferior), yet they think his opinion is somehow tainted by his horrifying visage. Likewise, if a guy is called "cute" by an ugly fat chick he won't take it personally, but the same comment from a hot girl will make his month. My opinion is that most guys want beautiful women as commodities to show off and boost their social status.
