Boyfriend didn’t text me back for 15 hours?

So we’ve been together a year and 9 months now, and to be fair he’s kind of always done this, ignoring texts from me, but this one is weird.

i texted him a Goodmorning text right around 8:30 am when I was in class and asked how he was, he texted back telling me and then asked how I was, I replied and then got no answer all day.

he was off school at 3:30, but when he went home he just went a played video games all night basically (we have the same console so I can see when he’s on)

And weirdly, he was sending me things on Instagram that obviously made him think of me because he said “that’s us babe” and then I sent one and he replied, but still no text.

then at 11:15 pm he texts me “hey babe I hope you had a good day I love you so much sorry for not texting you today I love you so much❤️“

is this innocent or maybe something I should watch for? He does it like almost everyday, he ignores my text but is online social media so I think I’ll stop texting first or something. I just responded like “babe I know you’re busy and it’s easy to forget no worries.”

What are the typical text exchanges between you and bf? Is it mainly simple topics? Or talk about EVERYTHING in excruciating detail every single day? (like you would have in person, or face to face)

Honestly the typical text exchanges are like “Goodmorning how are you today” and so on, ten we get in destabilize about our day usually later on. Sometimes it’s just a “have a great day my love we’ll talk after school!” And then I hear radio silence most of the time but he eventually gets back to me. This is a bad thing I’m guessing right because guys don’t normally like texting and long conversations?

That's what I was getting at, yes. Guys generally view texting as a major hassle and don't like it, no matter who it is with.

That makes sense, I’ve been told that so many times but for some reason still except my man to communicate like I do haha! Which is impossible because guys communicate differently, can you explain the not texting for the whole day but still thinking about me and sending me things on Instagram that reminded him of us? That’s what confuses me

Maybe it's more convenient for him to use? I am not Anita's São Instagram user (thankfully) so I'm just guessing there.
Remember this when you start getting wound up about this texting nonsense: if his personality face to face is great, remember THAT IS MOST IMPORTANT. Would you rather have super text guy and no talkin sloth dude face to face? Of course not.

Very true, and maybe he just wanted to relax with them after school. He got off around 9 pm from what I saw and then replied at 11:15 while sending me things that he thought of us, very confusing

I know it’s super confusing, my guy friends didn’t even understand the sending me things on Instagram that relate to us but not texting back thing, I think this is just the way he is because he’s been doing it for soooo long

I think so too, given that he does this a lot maybe it’s just who he is or he didn’t feel like replying in the day but at least he eventually did. I think he just does it when he wants to not when he can, which is sad

But I’ve seen his phone and he has time stamps and dates from when he was ignoring me where he went and texting some of his friends to play video games so I could tell he just didn’t want to answer then cuz he clearly saw it but eh, my guy friends have explained it’s more energy to talk to your girlfriend than others
