Does eye contact mean anything to guys?

when I was at the store this guy who I don’t know, would keep staring at me and when I would stare back he wouldn’t break eye contact At all, so I looked away first this happened a couple of times why wouldn’t he look away? And does it mean anything when guys don’t break eye contact?

He might have been sneaking glances or looking at something he thought was interesting. I wouldn't necessarily say that it's because he is interested in you. I say this because there are men who perform those actions and they're not interested. If he didn't smile or give any other indication of interest (prolonged eye contact, moving closer to where you are etc.), then I wouldn't think anymore of it.

I could stretch it and say that he is really horrible at reading social cues. It could be a lot of things with this guy. Next time, just give him a soft smile when you catch him and a short wave. Make sure to register his mannerisms (see what he does after you perform those actions).

As a guy, in my opinion eye contact is the most intimate thing you can do to a stranger without getting arrested.
