In what circumstances do guys hold eye contact?

I'm wondering, do guys hold longer-than-normal eye contact with a girl only if they're attracted to her? Or do they hold it even if they don't find the girl attractive if the girl initiates it? Or do they do that with friends/people they know if the girl initiates it?

This guy who I think is cute seems to hold eye contact with me when we first see each other for a little longer than normal, but could it just be because I find him cute and I'm staring and he's looking back at me?

One time when I saw him, he held eye contact with me for a few seconds, but maybe because I was looking at him and he was expecting me to say something?

Just wondering! When I find a guy attractive I feel like I hold eye contact with them. It's really different with people I don't like that way; more of like a glance. I don't hold eye contact intentionally, it just seems natural, Not sure why. Just curious if it is the same for guys.

I don't hold eye contact any longer for a person that I like compared to a person I don't like. The only time I don't give the same amount of eye contact to girls is when they are being downers or bitchy.

He is just looking back at you until you look away. The guy never looks away first.

If you like him why don't you ask him out for coffee this weekend or something? You have nothing to lose but everything to gain, right?
