Do guys like full body hugs?

You are asking if he likes it as if you want him to enjoy your hug a little too much. Whether or not he likes it should not be in question here but why are you trying to cause a problem do you want to steal your friends boyfriend? Ask yourself if he had grabbed your ass would you be okay with it. If so then you are into him and should avoid him at all cost or risk losing your friend.

Heh, oh, you already know, sometimes when I play blackjack and hit 22 I hope looking at the cards long enough will make it 21 but it just isn't so. I think you hit the nail on the head: a lot of guys hug a woman because it's a way for the guy to "feel" a woman's boobs. This and other interesting facts about men can be found in the free book from archive. org called "Woman to Women". I recommend that every woman read it at least once. I'm constantly reminded of something I read in it.

When hugging a guy, I recommend using the "A hug": where only the shoulders are touching (or taking one step back if a guy gets too close). ;)

That's just a normal hug. Why would anyone consider this disrespectful. I mean, if there was something I was going to read into, it would be why someone I was close with always do the side hug thing but now that she is distant does the full hug (using your definition) with me when she sees me... anyway, point is, men aren't put off by hugs unless they are the sort of individual who hates being touched - rare creatures. So don't worry about this.
