Why are men obsessed with their sisters?

I've noticed that a lot of men in the uk who have sisters can't see that they do any wrong. Like my boyfriend will chose to protect his sister over me when she's the one in the wrong. So why do men get so obsessed with their sisters?

Family relationships can be quite tight knit. Those loyalties run deeper than reason. You can think someone was wrong but still look after them.
