Guy ignores me in presence of this female coworker who has a boyfriend but talks well to me when she isn’t around. Why could this weirdness be?

Make coworker was acting hot and cold so I started ignoring him. He never asked me out but was kind of leading me on. Earlier this year, a female joined our team and she has a boyfriend. She is at a senior position in the department. Right before covid and even now, when we are in online meetings from home and this woman is also present, he responds as if he doesn’t even work with me which isn’t true. But in group work related chats where she isn’t present but 1-2 other coworker are then he talks in a nice way as if acknowledging my responses and feedback about my work.
why could he be acting with this opposite behaviour? Also, should I call him out when he lies in presence of this woman that he and I don’t work together?

If that woman is in a senior position in the department how would she not know that you two work together? And what do you mean he lies about it? All you said is that he 'responds as if he doesn't even work with me' which is incredibly vague. You also aren't specific about the relationship between you and this coworker. You talk about him like he is your boyfriend... so I am not understanding what the issue is...

Thanks! I just stayed quiet when he did it recently because I was too shocked lol and then I thought I should act professional coz it’s work calls anyway. I just felt like how can I let him get away with it so easily so asked this question but I should do as you advised too! thank you again!

Probably because he's not that interested in you.
