Why do guys want to know “steamy” details about your past?

This guy and I have been on and off for a while. We are currently together and serious but he is bent on me telling him all the details with the last guy I was talking to. Nothing serious happened with the last guy but he keeps says he is just curious and wants to know. He claims he is not the jealous type but every time I tell him a detail he gets this weird smile and acts like it’s all good and continues to pry more. He also has this weird thing where he wants to know if the other guy made me wet. When I said that was weird and I didn’t want to answer he keeps going “it did, didn’t it?”. But when I tell him this wasn’t a good idea, he acts like I’m being weird and says he is just curious and wants to know about the last guy. He also laughs off everything but I can tell some of it isn’t genuine because he will throw in stuff like “oh, so you flew just to see him”, etc. So confused. Is this normal? What is he getting from all this? Is this some kind of test? And does this really sound like a person who isn’t jealous?

I tell you something miss. I didn't lose my virginity till I met my current girlfriend. She's had past partners. I didn't like the fact she had a past because I know that they were younger than her (I don't know why it bothered me). Me being the older one, I felt cheated of an opportunity. So where am I going with this?

I myself prefer virgin girls. Do they exist out there like in the male's (mine included) fantasy (obviously not every guy thinks this way)? Possibly.

He wants to know the gritty details because it's kind of a way to see if he stacks up or 1 ups over your ex/exes. There's a curiosity element about wanting to dig into your partner's past. It seems more prevalent with guys wanting to know their girlfriend's past. I found out stuff about my current girlfriend and needless to say, it damned me. I've resented my current girlfriend for a while because of her past. This created a lot of mental suffering on my end. I wish I wasn't so bothered or feel so inferior to stuff that happened.

It is not really being jealous but he sound like the type of men who can't have a boner if her woman is not fucked by another man. It is for me the worst way of thinking of a man. Only my point of view.

Yeah okay but, tell me, normally. If the girl you love tell you that she does not wish you to talk about some subject or she does not want to talk about her last relationships with you for now. Do you find it normal to say to the other you're weird when he doesn't want or doesn't you think it would be normal to say oh okay if you don't want to talk about it let's talk about something else?
