Because men can generally get more in demand women as partners then as side girls. So they have to take a lower looks side girl in most cases, unless they are in fact way out of their main partners league. Instinctively men are cheating to get more partners (or because they’re unhappy in relationship).
you’re thinking like a woman, where you can actually get a hotter man if it’s NSA so if you were to cheat on a partner it would be with someone hotter. Women cheat either because they’re unhappy or instinctively to land a better DNA sample for their kids.
Some guys lose completely their higher brain functions if they are horny. With a little bit alcohol even unattractive girls appear attractive.

Can't really say exactly why because there are likely many different answers to this but one thing is that they might just be sex addicts and they will persue anyone they can.
Because the woman they cheat with is there to solve a specific problem, not be the whole package.
