Why do guys downgrade when they cheat?

I came across the girl that my ex cheated on me with on Facebook yesterday and eventhough it was a while ago I’m still curious as to why he would cheat on me with someone that looks like her. I personally don’t find her attractive at all and if she was I’d at least be able to understand why he cheated on me with her…. But no. She’s really quite ugly. And obviously I’m biased cause I’m the one that got cheated on.

Ok, so I'm pretty sure not ALL guys downgrade, however some guys "step out" of their marriage to be with whoever seems available and willing to sleep with them. they think it will just be a temporary thing till they get back on track with their wives... possibly NOT PICKING A BEAUTY ON PURPOSE so they can appreciate their wives a bit more... Then the new gal knows some tricks... or it just feels comfortable and stress-free to be with them... and in the end it's just nice to have whatever itch you have scratched by someone who isn't going to put any conditions or qualifiers on the process of having sex.

If I tell you what the girl my ex hubbie went with? He kept me busy and working all hours while he was at home claiming disability... I didn't realize that his disability was being heartless. She looked like a sagging granny compared to me (a young, hot 25-year-old hourglass bombshell at the time). I was good enough to raise his kids and be the household workhorse/housekeeper/PTA maven... but when I got home he was always "too tired from physical therapy" but physical therapy was the saggy old gal he was fucking... then the horse-faced mom from the PTA, then our giggly little neighbor who looked like a little troll doll but had slept with half her congregation...

Zoinks! He was putting in more hours of community service to these wretched looking women that I was putting in during my whole work day.

When I found him out I can't tell you HOW I felt... and now it's been a really long time, so I really try not to think about all the women... all the hours... all the lies and cheating and beatings I took for suspecting him... all his jealous rages whenever he saw me MERELY SPEAKING to a guy... The cops carting him off after my last trip to the ER...

So let him have his women. It's not my problem anymore. Who cares if they're more or less attractive? They've got your man... They're actually doing you a big favor by giving you a reason to leave him.

You're posting other people's pictures online and calling them ugly. Maybe it wasn't just about looks...

Either move on and stop wasting energy thinking about your ex or ask the correct questions: why did he cheat on you? Maybe he's just an asshole, maybe he lost interest in you for whatever reason, maybe something else... No one other than him knows.

Also not sure how people are supposed to judge if it's a downgrade or not when you just show the fact while you hide your own on your profile picture. That being said, she seems ok. Looks charismatic.

I have been cheated on in the past. I couldn't care less who it was, what she looked like, if she was better than me in any way or anything else. I looked back at my own actions, tried to learn something for the future and then moved on with life. That's the best advice I can give you too

I know what you are thinking, if he's gonna cheat why don't they at least cheat with a woman that's worth it but that's not how cheaters see it, they probably just see free pussy and would give it all up cause they can't keep it in their pants and they don't expect to get caught, which doesn't get that process of making it worth it if it's going to happen, their mind is most likely on getting away with it so they can do it again and keep getting away with it

People cheat both men and women do this…. They cheat to have fun because they want sex. They cheat on the people who love them and have value to them. But when it comes to recklessly having fun… They more care about how the experience feels sexually and emotionally then anything else.

I’ll be honest with you, if you’re posting other women to different websites and calling them ugly then he probably cheated on you for a reason. I’m also going to be even more honest and say that she looks fine to me, could trim her eyebrows a bit and use some pimple patches but aside from that I’d say she’s fairly pretty.
