Do men prefer girly girls or tomboys?

Obviously every guys opinion is different on this one, but what’s yours?

Disclaimer: this doesn’t apply to the tomboy girls that full on dress, look and solely act like dudes to the point you can’t tell a difference between her and an actual dude. The tomboy’s we’re talking about here is the ones who has the same sense of humor a guy has, more humble and shy, very laid back and drama free, more of a sneaker and jeans girl than a high heel and dresses every day girl. Still girly in her own way, but not overly glamorous.

I prefer tomboyish girls, but they are definitely not humble nor shy.
Of course I like sneaker and jeans type of girl, but dressing style alone doesn't make you a tomboy.
The definition of tomboy is:
"A girl who enjoys rough, noisy physical activities traditionally associated with boys".
"A girl who behaves in a manner stereotypically considered boyish"
"A girl who exhibits characteristics or behaviors considered typical of a boy"
"An energetic, sometimes boisterous girl whose behavior and pursuits, especially in games and sports, are considered more typical of boys than of girls".

Being a tomboy doesn't mean that you look like a boy, it just means you act more assertive and self-confident, you don't follow the stereotypical gender roles, which are in fact a social construct, imposed by the patriarchal society.
Tomboyish girls are usually naturally beautiful, they don't use makeup, and they don't wear girly clothes (skirts, dresses, heels etc).

As a tomboy, all I can say is this, most guys like tomboyish girls, but if you're shy, you're not a tomboy, you just like to wear casual or sporty outfits.
Tomboyishness is not determined by just what you wear, it's also related to your feisty attitude and tough personality.

I like a mix. Definitely don't like a prissy girl though. If you won't camp or hike that's a not go. But if she likes dressing up and is into make-up that's cool. Just nothing high maintenance.

In my opinion I prefer girly girls because if they are tom boys I will think their gay so in the terms of dating I prefer a girly girl but in terms of friends a Tom boy
