How easily do you cry?

It's well known that women tend to be more emotional than men but that doesn't mean men don't cry. So what makes you cry?
Would talking about putting one of your old dogs down make you cry? It would obviously make you sad but would just talking about having to put your dog down make you cry? It makes me want to cry and I have to try really hard not to and it's honestly kind of annoying and I don't know how to compose myself. I found myself thinking that maybe a man wouldn't cry as easily and that makes me kind of jealous.

Last time I had a legitimate cry was last summer when the heat killed one of my chickens. I found her in the morning, buried her, cried alone for a few minutes then went straight to work.

Did you go straight back to work out of a necessity or was the few minutes crying all you needed?

That was all I needed. But I was still sad throughout the day.

And I generally wouldn't cry thinking or talking about putting my pets down. I love them but if they're suffering, it can be better to stop them from suffering. I remember we had to put one of our cats down, and this one happened to be my favorite cut I've ever had, because he started to have seizures and he had a stroke and it somehow prevented him from being able to move his two hind legs. Not that I'm bragging by any means, I don't really think it's something to brag about, but I was the only one in my family who wasn't crying. I did admittedly get teary-eyed for a second a few hours later as I was thinking about him, but it was brief and that was the only time. However, when it comes to like tearjerkers or really lovey-dovey movie scenes, I do get teary-eyed easily (if i don't try to prevent it from happening) and I lowkey kind of like it, lmao.

But it's super cute and endearing when girls cry. I love it so much. I know that sounds weird but it's so sweet.

I just don't understand how you couldn't have cried seeing your cat be put down. It's just frustrating because I want to get my opinion out but I feel all choked up when talking about it but I just can't help it.

I'm not sure, either. I guess I just know it's bound to happen so I'm not upset when it finally does. But so does everyone else so maybe that's not why. But I'm sorry to hear about that. If it makes you feel any better, my father is a particularly emotionless person (unlike my mother and I), usually, and he cried when my cat had to be put down. Granted, he was closer to that cat, and that cat was closer to him, than any of our other cats/family members.

I usually don't cry. Not because I don't want to, but because I can't. I don't know why, but I just don't.
I've lost 5 familymembers and been through inhuman levels of stress for a couple of years (unrelated to the deaths). Maybe that made me strong? I feel like I am more emotional then the average man.
I also never feel better after crying. I do have random moments where I feel the need to cry come out of nowhere, but I never do.

I do wish that I could cry easier, would make some things easier to deal with.

Interesting... Whens the lats time you cried and why? I tend to feel better after I cry but no like directly after because I can't breathe through my nose and I feel sick lol but like after all that it just feels like a beautiful calm after a storm where you don't have to feel anything and you can just be. And if a couple more tears drizzle out it's only droplets in the ocean at that point so there's not much to worry about. I still don't like crying in front of people ad I don't cry to often but when I have a nice good cry it feels worth it.

It's weird that you say you feel more emotional than the average man but yet you don't cry as much. Do you mean like you're more empathetic or that you tend to express your emotions in a... sort of louder way than most men would if that makes sense?

Yeah it's pretty weird. I don't remember the last time I cried. That's weird haha but yeah no, got nothing.

That sounds pretty good and what I would expect from crying. But no, even after a whike I don't feel good about it. I just feel a little bit better in general I guess, but the difference is so small that I might as well kept it in.

Oh yeah I can't cry in front of people. I need to either be alone or one person is talking with me about painfull stuff for a long time, so maybe I'll cry.

Yeah that's indeed very weird. Yeah I gues like that. I just feel emotions pretty intense. I don't really know how to express them well, but I do it at least. Sometimes I feel a bit like a drama queen because of how I feell. But crying just doesn't work. It's like the river has run dry for a very long time

Yeah. I don't know why it happens but I think my mind eases and I tear up because there's other people that think like me
