Why did my mentor started ignoring me?

So.. everything was normal. I was ignoring my friends because of upcoming interviews. He was the only person I was talking to and I even told him about this. I felt guilty, but then I said sorry. He too said it's okay. We talked normally for 1-2 days, but he started ignoring me afterwards.

He might be leery of getting #metoo'ed some time in the future... or was all of this in a setting with plenty of other people around?

Sounds like he's got problems. Maybe Narcissistic Personality Disorder

The difference is you told your friends that you were going to ignore them for a while because of your interviews. He didn't tell you why he's ignoring you. To me that tells me he's immature and trying to hurt you.
