Why do some boys act mean one day then the next day nice to me?

I always say it straight up if I think someone's being rude & I've told him he's rude he knows it. So other times he's nice & talks to me then he switches to ignoring me. I don't have time for it but out of curiosity why does that happen. I even caught him looking at my lips when I was talking to him.

If it is being "mean" as in actively insulting you, it might be ego-problems. Go for a mature guy.
If he is just ignoring you, he might feel bad / depressed and does not want to admit he has emotional trouble or does not want you to worry (depending on how close you are).
I have had rapid cycling bipolar mood swings for the best part of 15 years before I got medication that worked. When I was depressed and anxious I often retreated from society. I have lost (girl) friends because of that. Many people get upset when you do not message them as often as before...

If he's in to you, he probably will insult you and compliment you. He'll try to balance them out. Boys are playful. I would act annoyed, but dont let it bother you. If you like him, play back, insult him a little, not going "too far" yk. Boys like playfully being insulted by their friends. Also if he was with his friends, sometimes they can have an impact too.

nothing wrong with telling him that, you're latina. Practise your tone of voice if it's quite strong as that can be offputting. A soft assertive voice is still effective.
