If your details are his exact expressions, then yes, he likes, even loves you.

But he is also a romantic and a person with feelings.

He wants to miminize the hurt of a breakup and save some of his egos (which is not wrong).

Hence the ball is in your court. If you likes or. lives him enough, then patch up. Quarrels and bickering are common in real relationships.

well gurl. i had this said to me by my boyfriend. i told him i wanna break it off and then he was like "u know what.. i can't force u to stay since u already look like u made up your mind, i won't beg you to stay. cus i dont think it will make a difference in your opinion" which was true. i gave him all the reasons. then i was like good, u understand. we're over then after that he got all shocked and begged me to stay. and kept going on and on. so i guess what im trying to say is that it bothered him. but i feel other guys would just keep quiet and suffer. my boyfriend is really expressive, loud and impulsive thats why he just begged me right after the said he wldnt beg me. i would say ur guy is not that into you but he said "id hate it if u walked away" now that made me feel like wow:((( he really likes u. but then again, just mt opinion. u do u, girl 💪🏻✊🏻
