My boyfriend said I'm being extra?

We been dating and he never bought anything for me and I m okay with that. I asked him if he could buy me something that i like for like 5 dollar and he said sure. So i showed him what i like which is only 3 dollars things online and i said if he could pay for me instead of him transferring the money to me because it would be nice if he actually make an effort and put a time on by purchasing it himself instead of me buying it myself. He said I'm being ridiculous and wanting to be like other couple out there. I was offended by that because I just want to feel you know people making time for me. We are ldr. And I have depression so there's time I'm down but I never bother him. During my last visit I received a bad news from my doctor she told me to take time off from work as I'm getting worst which mean I can snap and kill myself for good. I tried to told my boyfriend that he said that my dr is being ridiculous because it's my career and I should always put my career first. Now I'm having second thoughts on our relationship as he never actually listen and consider little things that I asked. I tried to communicate but he will always tell me he is like that and I should accept it. Should I end it or should I just stay.

Yeah u need take time off and concentrate on you...
Then re-evaluate your relationship with him.
No guy should talk down on you as if your concerns are too petty to care.

A relationship should not add unnecessary stress to you.

Get over depression first then reevaluate.

Well I can't get over it since I also have other illness which canr be cure so I will only have to adapt with the illness to live a normal life

If reality gets distorted enough you just gotta try to figure out if you will feel worse when things are different or if you'll feel worse if things are the same.
