My ex and I were supposed to meet up to have sex it didn’t happen that way. I thought we were going to meet up at a hotel but then he said something about us having car sex. He didn’t want to pay to use a room for just a little bit of time if we weren’t spending the night. I thought it was going to be like last time (but this is when we were a couple). We use the room for a little bit and then head out. I didn’t think he’d want to spend the night with me. That doesn’t sound like friends with benefits to me: spending the night together, what do y’all think?

Couple things I want to say: He didn’t want to pay for a room if we weren’t going to use it but for a few hours. Obviously I don’t care that he’s my ex, the sex was good, and I still have feelings for him.

It has nothing to do with who paid, so what are you talking about? Neither of us have our own place yet so this is the arrangement that we have to go with. I couldn’t meet up with him anyway because he said it would be late and I couldn’t stay late as I live with family and stay an hour away.

You didn’t answer the question at all. Get all the facts before being so judgmental.

Wasn’t overthinking, just thought friends with benefits didn’t have sleepovers, thought it was in and out, sleepovers are what couples would do or so I thought. Apparently that’s one of the things not to do as friends with benefits.

I mean you are friends so you must semi enjoy the other persons company a little. Nothing wrong with hanging out having a good time and fucking whenever and however you want and never discussing relationship stuff or plans for Valentine's Day. Friends with benefits is having fun hanging out casually and having sex whenever you want with not having a discussion about where things are going, how you feel, when will you meet my parents, etc.
