8 months into a situationship and he made a promise to see me in the week of my birthday and did not- was not busy or pre-engaged with events. Among many other promises to do things that weren't followed through with- when I said why I was upset (no games here) he said he's trying but he can't be what I want. Now- I'm not talking I expected a gift or anything- we aren't that long together- I just wanted him to follow through with what he said or at least want to see me some time for my birthday-I noticed he had blocked me on social media so I said I can't do it anymore. He had a lot of past hurts that I had been support with- so I know his reactions are more reactive than normal people.
He's made no attempt to at least say he's sorry. Does this mean it was all bullshit from the beginning- or is this some other deficiency in his emotional issues (truly all legitimate) from the past? I am really trying not to be angry. I am one of those that when I'm done I cut off completely- so should I still be open in case he reaches out due to his emotional issues- or is it healthier to cut off and be unaccessible to him forever. I do not know if I want to rekindle an intimate relationship- but I really think I could be friends from a distance... if it would be positive.
just trying to not cut people off so quick
