Why did add me when I unfollowed him then un add me?

Question

I’ve been talking to this guy for 4 months things were going good he was so full on with me and texted. So after he got distance he was also really attracted to me. We face timed and called a or. So I can tell he was a bit off with and we spoke on face time and he said to me he doesn’t want a relationship and he doesn’t think our convo flows and stuff. I was really annoyed because he kept on telling me how much he missed talking to me and how he wil make me his girl as soon as we meet and stuff now he’s saying this. So I put him straight for wasting my time and leading me on he also said I can talk to any other guys and he’s going through something personal. So I left it and texted him again on how long his been feeling like that blah blah after I unfollowed him on snap as I didn’t want anything to to do with him next morning he sent me a friend request again after I unfollow him on Snapchat then deleted it. Why did he do that and he did say how he will still check on me but I’d rather him not. He also kept on saying how I’m beautiful on FaceTime.

This is my take on it..
He was interested initially. Very attracted.
He wanted to get to know you, but as he did, he started thinking and suddenly (or gradually) he realized he didn't feel the chemistry he was looking for and so he changed his mind.
He decided to tell you about his doubts, he was being honest. He could have ghosted or played you. But he decided not to.

But he also had doubts about his own judement. So he tried to 'damage control' and stay open as a friend with potential to change hid mind.

The dude seems a little indecisive and emotional... It's almost like he has bipolar or depression of some kind... To fall off the grid and then come back and then react in strange and quirky ways... I'd say, you are dating someone else and actually date someone else, let him make the next move. Tell him you got impatient and you wanted someone that was going to respect you and pay attention to you

He simply decided he wasn't feeling it. I see nothing wrong with it. People are allowed to change their minds.  He might have clicked follow by mistake. It happens to people who stalk.

I think I would love on there is no reason to do what he's doing not unless he adds you to chst with you and after finished chatting with you he deletes his page so someone else can't see it if they get in to his phone or he's just being a little crazy

No they weren't, you just thought so. You really had/have nothing.
You can't forge a relationship via electronic communication. You have to actually meet up IRL and spend some time with them face to face. It's called DATING.
