What are signs that a shy guy likes you but is intimidated vs. just not interested?

If a guy likes you he will try to get close to you - even if all he can do is wave at you for 5 seconds while driving down your street etc... I know guys who don’t pursue things with girls they like if they don’t see long term potential but most guys don’t consider marriage ability at first meeting.
