He is most likely speaking to someone else or checking his messages to remove the notifications but the harder you push the less likely he is to respond. Take a step back and let him know what it is to lose you and he may come back. Otherwise he's just not that bothered.

He might not be willing to give you his time and to feel better about that, think of all the times you refused to give somebody your time, did you hate them with a passion? Most likely not, you were bored or disinterested or too tired from washing the dishes or doing homework to care, that might be how he views you, not necessarily intense hate, maybe a lack of time or willingness to commit to knowing you due to past regrets.

it does not mean he is not interested in you. that is a big lie. he is just not a phone person. Some of us guys prefer physical interaction rather than texting a girl.. texting can worsen things sometimes.. if its after an argument, he probably just needs space to clear his mind especially if he thinks you are arguing instead of actually conversating.
