Boyfriend said that if we get married he might lose his temper and slap me, but he does not want me to call the authorities? He’s warning me of potential domestic violence? wtf

I’m not making a post about his unwillingness to marry me or want to break up, so save it. We are so happy and it’s more helpful if you could suggest ways in which we can combat the issue.

You need ways to communicate differences/disagreements in healthy way. Anger and slap is building up emotion that doesn't know how to express itself in other ways than in physical violence.
1. You can learn to recognize when anger builds up and just back off give him space to cool off. Without adding any additional fuel by saying "ok dude cool off."
If however you fail to learn these ways of communication you are fuked pretty much. I dont know him and his issues personally so I can't give you precise advice on how to work on things nor can others. Good luck
