Busy men/workaholics, do you like having your phone 'blown up'?

If you're the sort of guy who has a busy schedule due to work or personal reasons, if you have just started seeing someone (NOT talking about a serious relationship here), would you be annoyed if they messaged you frequently whilst you're busy? Or attempted to start conversations knowing you're busy?

Or would you prefer the other person to respect your schedule (let's say they aren't as busy as you) and have it be an 'I'll talk to you when I'm free' sort of deal, even if that means going hours or days without talking to them?

Again, I'm talking about someone you are casually dating/friends with benefits sort of thing.

I'm just curious as I know a lot of people like to keep conversations going all day every day, whereas some people would rather wait until they have the time to sit and have a conversation.

I am not a workaholic per se, but I still despise the telephone with every fiber of my being.
As my job requires concentration, when it starts ringing for the fuckiest of reasons I just silence or turn it off. Was it important? Too bad, I'm focusing now.
And even when I'm not working I put it on silent mode very often. I forgot how many people I pissed off by doing this.

Interesting. I keep my phone on silent all the time. But if I had a girlfriend I suppose I would turn the ringer on.

I'm a workaholic and will in order to avoid notifications breaking my concentration

In my home office
My phone is in a different room and if I need the internet then I still have the notification free desktop computer

In the wild, I take a screenshot of the day's scrap chart before I leave and just turn off my internet so ditto no notifications

I like getting messages and knowing someone is genuinely missing me. And I'd always try to respond regardless of how busy I am. But I don't like it when the other is constantly messaging me and EXPECTING me to always respond. Yes I'll do my best to respond. No I don't need to answer all the time and this is not my responsibility. It's a personal effort that I'm putting in and should not be taken for granted

I would try and let them know I was busy and would hit them up later. I don't like being glued to my phone. I used to leave my phone in the living to charge when I went to bed. It is not the first thing I grab for when I wake up either. I will get around to checking my messages when I feel like it.

respect my schedule. blowing up my phone will end any sort of relationship be it something romantic or just friends unless irs some sort of emergency. especially if am at work. have nearly blocked my close relatives (brother, niece, nephews) for calling texting bs while am working.

Generally avoid my phone while I'm home because even after a 10 hour work shift I still have responsibilities and a yard to maintain, if you wish to talk to me come see me and we can talk if not oh well I have more important things than spend hours texting.

I would be against messaging me every hour. But if she knows my lunch times and break times and messages me then, I'd be happy. Heck, I'd message / call her myself.

Typically no. OK to send a text and I'll answer when I can. Text can be that way, but don't keep calling when you know I'm busy. Annoying.

My girl does this shit to meet all the time and it's annoying as fuck. If the dude says he's busy then leave him alone without his phone making noise every minute and a half.
