Why does who he follow makes a difference? I follow girls sometimes just because they have cooking tips I want or life hacks. Or because they are so out of my league it would give me a ego boost if they even followed back.

Yeah. Most of the people I follow, I don't know or particularly think about, and most of the people who follow me are the same. Social media doesn't matter much.
